If you're anything like me, you've had that one friend that tells you about all the chemicals in the products you are using. The products you use to clean your home, to wash the clothes you live in, to make your home smell great... the list goes on. Much like how "there's an app for that" there's also a product for that.
Eventually that friend wore on me. I started paying a little more attention to the ingredients in the products I used on a daily basis.
I got educated. I found an app to help me understand what each of the chemicals in my products is for and how it harms my body, and my sons and my husbands.
The first thing I searched? Our dish soap. It rated a 9 out of 10 on the 'dirty' scale. The soap we washed our dishes in, that we ate off of, had chemicals that are labeled as having "Developmental & Reproductive Toxicity" as well as "Carcinogenicity". Big scary words that horrified me.
Before Greyson was even born we chose products for him like diapers and soaps. We chose The Honest Company. Teylor and I felt it was the right decision for our boy to have the best!
But we didn't think about us, we didn't think about our home. Greyson was breathing in our air fresheners, living in chemically washed onesies, and eating off of plates washed with our 9/10 carcinogen dish soap.
After switching to products and solutions that don't contain chemicals that harm your body you'll feel a wave of relief come over you.
